# What to Expect on Installation Day

> What happens on the day All-Star Renovations installs your new shower, bathroom or kitchen update, from arrival to final walkthrough.

Most shower replacements and conversions take 1-2 days.\* Here is how a typical installation goes.

**1. Arrival and protection**

Our own crew arrives, reviews the plan with you, and protects floors and the path to the work area.

**2. Removal**

The old tub, shower, fixtures or surfaces are removed and hauled away.

**3. Inspection and prep**

We check the walls, subfloor and plumbing. If we find hidden damage, we stop and talk with you before going further.

**4. Installation**

New base, wall panels, fixtures, accessories and any grab bars or seats are installed.

**5. Cleanup and walkthrough**

We clean up, show you how everything works, review care instructions and answer questions.

## Before we arrive

See [Prepare Your Home](https://allstarreno.com/docs/planning/prepare-your-home.md).

## After we leave

Ask your crew when the shower is ready to use, since sealants may need time to cure. Keep your warranty paperwork. See [Warranty Coverage](https://allstarreno.com/docs/warranty/warranty-coverage.md).
